Glow Mist from Pixi by Petra Review

Enriched with 13 natural oils plus propolis, aloe vera and fruit extracts, the Glow Mist ($15) from Pixi by Petra is the stuff of dreams. Wet dreams.

I used it both before putting my makeup on and then on top of it, and it gave me such smooth, healthy feeling skin, I could not believe it. I have tried tons of skin-nourishing products, including organic argan oil, coconut oil, tamanu oil, vitamin c serum, vitamin e serum and a bunch of other crap that in the end did nothing but drain my wallet. THIS, however, really works.

I don't know how or why, but the formula is just perfect for my skin. The mist feels super refreshing and gives you this healthy, fresh, dewy look. You look rested and glowing. You look like a teenager in love. Or a teenager watching Vampire Diaries. Or me watching Dean Winchester do his thing. Or.. OK, you get the point.

When applied on top of your makeup, this magical mist helps set it and adds a nice finish. I use it a few times throughout the day to refresh my look, and just because it feels so good, it's addictive.

Is it worth the $$? Definitely. I was iffy, I won't lie. Even though $15 isn't awfully a lot, I wasn't sure if I was investing in the right thing or just throwing my money away, but I'm thrilled to tell you: this was one of the best decisions I made when it comes to my skin health. I would and will buy it again. And I do recommend you giving this a shot.

  1. So it didn't make your skin look/feel oily at all? That would be my main concern. Props to you because I wouldn't spend $15 on something like that without reassurance from someone I knew that it was a good product lol. I'm cheap!

    1. It really didn't make my skin oily at all! It's incredibly refreshing and nourishing, but it absorbs quickly and can be applied on top of makeup without risking it run down. In fact, it really gives you a very fresh and dewy look! It feels amazing, it's my favorite product from Pixi!

  2. I have the same question about the oily. My skin is either too oily or too dry... would you recommend this as a substitute for my facial creme (I use Aveeno moisturizer with sunblock) or apply the mist after the moisturizer? Thanks for your review

    1. I have a combination of dry (on cheeks) and oily (on forehead and around the nose) skin, and this is one of the very few products that actually works for me. It doesn't make you oily at all. It's not a greasy product, it absorbs very fast and makes you feel cool and fresh. Really adds a nice glow on top of your makeup too, but no shine or grease at all! :) More of a dewy and healthy-looking finish. Definitely give it a go!

  3. I love finishing/setting sprays! I found my first spray over ten years ago at a costume rental shop. It's an absolute must of mine if I'm going to go to a concert or if I'm going to a club.

  4. I've tried these types of products before but didn't really like them. Although, I've heard so many good things about the Pixi Glow, I've got to try it. I'm so glad it worked well for you. :)

  5. I'd try it if my skin didn't react so badly to aloe. *sigh*

  11. This product sounds incredible and so nourishing however my concern is the same as stated previously about it causing oily skin to look and feel more oily. You said your forehead is oily and that it still works amazingly well for you. I will try it but I am skeptical because I am yet to find a primer even that doesn't make my extremely oily skin more oily. Though I hope my skepticism isn't validated. Thanks so much.

  12. Sounds good but I'm not sure if it wouldn't be too oily.

  18. I have very dry skin. Especially in the summer when my allergies kick in. This sounds amazing...loving the ingredients. I think the price is great if it works that well.
